12. Rick Owens x Mastodon
These strange space age inspired boots are from the Rick Owens collection in collaboration with Mastodon. It’s meant to combine a stretchy leather boot with the “iconic” rubber sole and toe cap. If you feel you really need this strange shoe in your life, it will run you about 800 dollars.
11. Yeezy Boosts
Adidas Yeezy boosts are all the rage and people who can’t afford them often go and find similarly designed shoes. Depending on the certain type and color of Yeezy Boosts, like these Yeezy Boost 350 v2’s, the price can range from over $200 to over $2,500.
10. Pharrell's Exclusive Shoe
If you’ve never seen this shoe before, we wouldn’t be surprised. This is Pharrell’s Friends and Family x adidas NMDs, a shoe that launched privately and presumably only the most exclusive members of Pharrell’s inner circle had a shot at them. The Japanese engravings represent the “friends and family” idea and Pharrell's insignia is engraved into the side. If you had a chance to buy these shoes when they launched they would have run you about 8,000 dollars US. Now, resellers price them at nearly double the original price.
9. Balenciaga Triple S
With a new focus on turning “normcore” fashion into a super expensive aesthetic, Balenciaga unveiled the Balenciaga Triple S. These shoes take that clunky, ugly shoe every white collar dad owns and tries to make it fashionable. They are sort of chic, and a terribly ugly way. If you want to look like a chic science teacher, a pair of these hot Triple S sneakers will run you more than 800 US. We recommend grabbing a pair of Skechers from your local outlet store if you really want to ride the trend but your wallet’s a little tight.
8. Buschemi 100 MM Diamonds
Women’s shoe designers aren’t the only ones obsessed with adorning everything in expensive jewels and precious gems. The designers at Buschemi decided that they would “elevate” the classic street fashion sneaker by covering it in glittering gold and diamonds. These Buschemi shoes are adorned with 11.5 karat diamonds and 18 karat gold, setting their price at about $132,000.
7. Nike Air Zoom Kobe 1’s
Sneakerheads take their shoes very seriously and the Nike Air Zoom Kobe 1’s are one of those shoes that cost a pretty penny. Normally, a pair of these will run around $300, but a pair that was signed by Kobe Bryant could increase the price up to 30,000 dollars US.
6. Diamond Dream Stilettos
The designer behind this shoe is named Stuart Weitzman. You might be wondering: how did such a cheap looking shoe get onto this list? Well, while it might look like it’s straight from Ross’s clearance section, the reason for its price is in the name of the shoe. These stilettos are covered in diamonds. If you want your feet to look like a jewelry store ripe for robbing, be ready to fork out 500,000 dollars.
5. Princetown Horsebit Slipper
Fur is a bit outdated these days, many consumers prefer a more ethical material or think that it’s a bit too flashy for everyday wear. Despite that, Gucci once came out with this shoe that is covered in so much fur it still looks alive. Take a gander at Gucci’s Princetown Horsebit Slipper, a shoe that prides itself on being completely covered in long, luxurious goat hair. It retails at about 1,800 US dollars but since it’s out of season, you might have some trouble finding yourself a pair.
4. Balenciaga Platform Crocs
In 2017, luxury fashion haus Balenciaga unveiled their newest shoe: a platform shoe made in collaboration with Crocs covered in unique Balenciaga designed Jibbitz. Even though they were made available for pre-order, they were sold out immediately. The shoes come in pink and “toast” which is basically a tan/brown color. If you’d like to find your very own pair of these platform crocs it would cost you an easy 850 US dollars.
3. Nick Cannon’s Custom Shoes
These pair of one-of-a-kind custom made shoes were commissioned by Nick Cannon. Designer Jason Arasheben created this diamond-encrusted mule loafer with a tiny block heel. There are apparently 14,000 round cut diamonds embedded into this shoe, which Cannon wore while he hosted the final season of American Idol. His salary on the show must have been pretty sweet, considering the fact that these shoes were estimated to have cost 2 million dollars.
2. Stuart Weitzman’s Rita Hayworths
These sexy shoes might look subtle and classy, but they have a pretty little secret and a large price tag to boot. The Rita Hayworth Heels are embedded with pretty much every precious gem you could think of. All those pretty little rocks jack up the price of this satin shoe to an easy couple million dollars.
